Applied MindManager (Mind Mapping)

Purpose
This
training teaches students a new way of generating and managing ideas.
Long recognized in Europe, Mind Mapping is a powerful tool for note taking,
studying, preparing talks, writing papers, brainstorming, presentations,
and task management. In an era when the difference between
success and failure can be measured in ideas, this seminar will be as
important to companies as it is to employees.
Description
Today’s business is characterized by extremes - extremes in corporate
expansion and contraction, changing business paradigms, and intensive
competition. In this environment, entrepreneurs must be able to efficiently
generate, manage and communicate ideas. Yet classic education favors critical
over creative thinking – useful for analyzing, not creating, ideas.
Based on the Nobel winning Left/Right Brain research, Mind Mapping was
developed to be a more effective thinking tool. Although long accepted
in Europe, it is still relatively new in the U.S. Recently available as
a software application, Mind Mapping is becoming a key management tool
for ideas in the workplace.
Students
will learn:
The
concept of idea creation as the first step in the idea cycle,
the three thinking styles that 95% of all people fall into, and their
limitations, the role of creativity in business, the importance of the
left and right brains in Whole-Brain Thinking, Mind Mapping as a formal
whole-brain thinking tool, and
The
practical application of Mind Mapping software for:
